--- AVR News Update ---
Hello and Happy Sunday!

On the Home Front: So, we had even more drama this week. And running around. And I packed a bunch of stuff up that belonged to my stepdaughter and her husband. She apparently thought she could leave their stuff here as free storage. Um, no. When you flounce out in a fit of childish temper with nothing but lies, lies, lies then it's not incentive to me to hold your shit forever. So I packed everything from their room in boxes and was going to rent a U-Haul next week to drop everything off at her mom's tiny house (where they have no room, but I missed the memo where that was my problem), but apparently April thought we were going to take their stuff to the dump or Goodwill or wherever (I have no idea why she thought that, I never posted anything about doing that and though I am pissed I am not that vindictive) so they hurried up and got a storage unit and came and got everything yesterday. So I have my house back and she's still pissed at us. I have no idea when we'll see the grandkiddos, if ever. We saw them briefly Friday. Boone bawled when he had to leave his grandpa and Kyleigh wanted to go with us. Stellar parenting there. I sincerely hope those two sweet babies do not grow up like her. Yes, I went there. I had no idea how horrible she had become until she moved in with us. I hope she gets the mental help she needs before she ruins those two kids lives. The whole situation is FUBAR.

Touching Nature: Humid, cool, rain, sunny, partly cloudy, cooler...yeah, that about sums it up.

Book News: I read a few books, but I still haven't written 4 reviews. The plan is to write them today or tomorrow at the latest since two of them are books that have to go back to the library on Tuesday.

Don't Touch That Dial!: Nope. But soon.

At the Flicks: Not yet. Getting closer.

Cyberspace Playground: Nothing to see here.

Randomness:

Carol's Nuggets of Wisdom: It is never easy to walk away from family, but when they are so toxic they are making you and your family ill, it has to be done. It's one of the hardest things you will ever do. I hope no one has to go through what we are right now.

That's it for me. AVR News Update signing off. May all your books enthrall you.

  1. I had family drama this week too in the form of a cousin starting shit with another cousin. My siblings and I were all like "WTF we are too old for this shit!". Crazy!

  2. OMG, reading your family drama reminds me so much of what my Grandfater recently went through with my cousin and his wife...so much so I wonder if we're not secretly related :) Hopefully things will quiet down and I HATE it when people use their kids as pawns!

  3. Sorry to hear about your family drama. I had some relatives that are like that and it's definitely not fun dealing with them when they become so vindictive.

  6. Girl, our family drama is mounting its skeleton army in the closet as we speak, I swear. We have had TOO quiet of a spell these past couple months. It's a-brewing. I am glad you have your room back, and good riddance to them for now! You really do have to grow up and take care of your business, and with two kids to raise you should be at that point already. I hope after things settle, you will get to see the grandkids. That kind of manipulation is so immature because you're hurting your kids, not just the adults in the situation. Here's to a better week!
